Not me!

Do you remember your parent saying something constantly and you either rolling your eyes or just getting plain annoyed with the thought or statement? We all thought to ourselves secretly, "I am not going to be that annoying when I am a parent."

We'll among my many annoying traits, you will very often hear me ask my girls, when they are running to me upset over the actions of another or in the heat of a disagreement involving crying and/or accusations...

"Who is going to be the peacemaker?"

Claire is always the one to change that frown upside down and with a happy smile exclaim...

"I am!"

And she is.

We'll the other day Claire and Stella were in the heat of a debate... or fight... depending on how honest I am being... and I heard some crying and whining so I called down the stairs with that old familiar Ashley-ism #258...

"Who is going to be my peacemaker?"

To which I hear Claire respond...

"NOT ME!"

Dum Dum Dummm

We were reading scriptures as a family in the Book of Mormon (and can I just add that this move was havoc on our family scripture reading... we thought we would finish up by the end of September and here we are in November).

Anyhoo... a week or two ago as we read, Elizabeth was reading in Ether Chapter 14. She was using nice expression so I told her so. When she got to verse 21 she read this... (emphasis added)...

"And so great and lasting had been the war, and so long had been the scene of bloodshed and carnage, that the whole face of the land was covered with the bodies of the dead." And then like in a scary movie she added... "Dum Dum Duuummm!"

I haven't laughed that hard for a while... Thanks cute girl! :)

We are in but not...

Aaahhhh! We are in but not IN!

Here are a couple of house shots right before we moved in...
I have been busy making a mess of this place with boxes of my junk!
I have taken about 8 extra large boxes and over sized trash bags of stuff to goodwill. I still have a lot more to weed through. Unfortunately with the quick timing of the other move from Hidden Cove I didn't get a chance to weed out what I didn't want to take... so I am now having to go through everything now which in my OCD lifestyle isn't ideal.

Hopefully life will settle down and I can get back to blogging and show the finished product!
